We celebrate the mystic poet-saints of India in song and readings - Kabir, Khusrao the father of Qawwali, and Lalon Shah who inspired Bauls and Tagore.We have music by Farhad Khalid, a singer songwriter who adapts classical qawwali, and the sarod player Drupad Mistry.As always the floor is open to original spiritual poetry, or share by reading out one of the selected poems. To end we have a Sufi dhikr - a traditional meditation of remembrance with chanting, movement, breathing, and music, which closes with prayers for humanity and the planet. Entry £8 on the door (£5 for our regulars). For further info Khaled 07821 184696 http://www.meetup.com/SufiMusic/events

Poetry in London are delighted to invite you to their second live event! There will be a few Open Mic spots, A Surprise Feature Act, a discussion on this month’s theme and the opportunity to network with others. This month’s theme is the Media, so you are invited to either come up with a short solo poem on the topic (30 secs) or team up with another poet and produce a 1 minute piece to be shared on the night!
