Lipped Ink is a new monthly event at the Poetry Cafe. With poetry open mic slots, a featured poet and a unique additional slot of guided visualisation which all explore the power of spoken words to engage, inspire and entertain. Jukebox Story is a night of irreverent storytelling and comedy inspired by pop songs. A mixtape of tall tales that take you to a time, a place, a hairstyle. For our next show we are performing stories inspired by songs that are about or feel like the future. Calling all occupants of interplanetary craft. Will be there be a world without love or are we together in Electric Dream. Stories can take place in the year 2525 or at the end of next week.  The winning story as voted for by the audience will receive the coveted Jukebox Story USB Mixtape and be published on the Future Perfect website.  Thirty years ago, in May 1983, the first issue of The Frogmore Papers appeared. The papers aspired topublish poetry and prose which "above all possesses quality and a respect for the written word, which is used to subvert, innovate, communicate ideas relevant to the age." Thirty years on, the Papers are still edited by jeremy page and still hold to the same aspiration With John Mackay, Abegail Morley, Jeremy Worman and Tamar Yoseloff. Free event.
