Many years ago, T S Eliot attended one of the famous Foyles Literary Luncheons. Now, after a multi-million pound refurbishment programme, Foyles is a modern independent bookshop, with 5 floors of books and knowledgeable staff. Based just 190 paces from Tottenham Court Rd tube station in the centre of London, Foyles stocks one of the country's largest ranges of classic and contemporary poetry titles, and poets from Ashbery to Zamora. It also contains a non-chain café, Ray's Jazz and Silver Moon, and there are regular author events in-store.

Poetry Society members receive a 10% discount on any poetry books. Rhyme & Reason specialises in books for children and young people, but also have a special interest in poetry and keep a selection of poetry books aimed at adults as well poetry books for children. Rhyme & Reason organises author events, introducing poets and other writers to schools and facilitating visits. They also work closely as booksellers with the annual Off the Shelf festival in Sheffield and organise occasion readings by published poets. As community booksellers, they offer a speedy ordering service for customers and can normally obtain any book in print very quickly.
