New Writing Worlds 08, Human:Nature
New Writing Worlds 08, Human:Nature is a literary festival taking place in Norwich and Norfolk from the end of May to mid June on the theme of the environment - combining Norfolk's internationally recognized strengths in Creative Writing and Environmental Impact Studies.
From June 15-20 there will be readings, debate, live lit performances, and much more taking place around Norwich, featuring prominent literary figures such as Nobel prize winner JM Coetzee; Pulitzer prize winner CK Williams; Wales’ first National Poet Gwyneth Lewis; Antarctic chronicler and Guggenheim recipient Gretel Ehrlich and many others. The festival will be introduced by ‘Norfolk Reads and Writes’ which kicks off in late May and encompasses series of readings and nature-based Creative Writing workshops at RSBP reserves with nature writer Mark Cocker, novelist Susan Fletcher, and poet Mimi Khalvati.
