H.D stayed at Martinhoe with Richard Aldington(her then husband)during the early months of 1916. They walked, bathed, visited Heddon's Mouth and wrote poetry. She was probably working on "Nossis", "Heliodora", possibly on poems from "The God" and amongst other texts a translation of "Ion"
