Poetry Landmarks

Dryden House

(Associated Place)

Dryden House, Northamptonshire, was the birthplace of the former Poet Laureate (1668-88), John Dryden. Although Dryden spent the majority of his life further afield, the Grade 2 listed building from which his Puritan upbringing commenced is still remembered as a promenant landmark for the highly acclaimed poet, dramatist and critic.
