Oxford University Poetry vs Science Online Debate

Details:

Oxford Online Debates continue this term with the proposition that 'Poetry is beautiful, but science is what matters'. Professor Peter Atkins (Lincoln and Department of Chemistry) will be proposing the motion, and Dr Peter McDonald (Christ Church and the Faculty of English Language and Literature) will be opposing. The debate will be moderated by Professor Sally Shuttleworth, Head of Humanities Division. The debate begins online on Monday 9 February at www.ox.ac.uk/debates The public can post comments online, and the debate concludes with a public vote between 2-6 March.
