St Mary's College, Oscott

Details:

St Mary's College Oscott was founded in 1793 by a committee composing of Catholic nobility and English gentry. Among the famous alumni was Alfred Austin, a critic, novelist and political journalist. Austin is best known, however, for succeeding Tennyson as Poet Laureate from 1896-1913.
