Based in the Georgian splendour of Bath's Guildhall, and other venues throughout North East Somerset, Bath Literature Festival presents the best of contemporary poetry alongside talks, discussions and workshops on a huge variety of literary subjects.

Featured poets in previous years range from well-established names to newer voices including Andrew Motion, Ted Hughes, Jenny Joseph, Frieda Hughes, Christopher Logue, Jean Binta Breeze, Jo Shapcott, Esther Morgan, Samantha Wynne Rhydderch, Carol Ann Duffy, Jackie Kay, Liz Lochhead, Francesca Beard and Roger McGough, in addition to poetry events for children, signed poetry events and work in progress from Bath Spa University College's Creative Writing course.
