Sisters Hand in Hand
As Henry Purcell wrote:
"Music and poetry have ever been acknowledged sisters, which, walking hand in hand, support each other; as poetry is the harmony of words, so music is that of notes; and as poetry is a rise above prose and oratory, so is music the exultation of poetry. Both of them excel apart, but sure they are most excellent when they are joined, because nothing is then wanting to either of their perfections."
Another new tutor to the Barn, Ian comes with a string of awards and a robust sense of humour. Music is always mentioned in reviews of his work and he professes to be very interested in traditional music, so this workshop will be a very welcome and intriguing addition to the roster.
