Britain in Print

The Britain in Print web site was set up to promote the wealth of pre-1700 printed materials that exists within some of Britain's major libraries. A core part of the site is an e-learning project based on Robert Henryson's medieval Scot's poem The Testament of Cresseid. The materials ahve been piloted in Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline, Fife, (birthplace of Henryson) and the innovative online support tools have helped bring the poem alive for school students. Through visits to major libraries, the project has also introduced school students to primary source materials, ranging from first editions of Shaespeare, early works of Chaucer, Gavin Douglas and other writers.
