De La Warr Pavilion

(Public Art)

These two poems or text pieces expecially created for the windows of the beautiful modernist De La Warr Pavilion look out to sea and describe the view outside through the names of paint colours that would be used to paint that view. These highly visual pieces change according to the shifts of weather and light. Here word, art and nature meld in a way that is quite beguiling.
